JEDDAH: The Saudi Arabian Malayali Trailers Association (SAMTA) celebrated its eighth anniversary with great enthusiasm under the theme “Khalbilaanu Jeddah” (Jeddah Resides in Our Hearts) at the Elite Auditorium, Kilo 10, bringing together members, families, and community leaders for an evening of cultural performances, fellowship, and social commitment.
A highlight of the event was the distribution of financial assistance of ₹8.76 lakh each to the families of late Jafar Tanur and Babu Abraham, reflecting SAMTA’s commitment to supporting its members beyond the workplace and reinforcing values of compassion and solidarity.
In his introductory address, Ayyub Karuppadanna outlined SAMTA’s journey and its continued dedication to the welfare and unity of the expatriate Malayali community. Several distinguished guests also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of community service, social engagement, and collective progress.
The cultural segment featured vibrant performances by Kalaratna children under the guidance of Sreetha Anil Kumar, including a captivating Oppana and dance presentations. A musical concert led by Jamal Pasha, with performances by Nooh Beemapally, Dr. Mirzana, Ramya Bruce, Shabeer Kottappuram, Shihab Manjeri, and Mahin Jamal Pasha, enthralled the audience. The traditional Muttippattu performance by Greens Jeddah Kannur, led by Noufal, added a nostalgic touch to the celebrations.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mubarak Palakkad, while attendees praised the well-organized event for successfully blending cultural excellence, community spirit, and humanitarian values. The celebration reaffirmed SAMTA’s role as a vibrant and socially responsible organization within the Malayali expatriate community in Saudi Arabia.
