MAKKAH: The Gulbarga Welfare Society (GWS) has formed a new Executive Committee for its Makkah Chapter, bringing community members together with the common objective of strengthening the society and extending support and assistance to needy people.
During the gathering, Mohammed Imdad Ali was elected as President of the GWS Makkah Chapter, while Arif Shaikh was elected Vice President, Dr. Kashif Imran as General Secretary, Akbar Ahmed as Treasurer, Mohammed Amaan as Chief Coordinator, and Azeemuddin Bidri as Joint Coordinator. The remaining positions will be filled during the upcoming monthly meeting.
Syed Nasir Khursheed, Advisor, Gulbarga Welfare Society Saudi Arabia, attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Fazal Mohammed, President of Indian Community Makkah (ICM), graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Omar Khan, setting a spiritual and meaningful tone for the gathering.
Addressing the gathering, Syed Nasir Khursheed highlighted the aims and objectives of the Gulbarga Welfare Society and emphasized the importance of unity, participation, and collective responsibility. He appealed to all members to strengthen the society and actively contribute to its welfare activities and efforts to serve the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Fazal Mohammed appreciated the efforts of the Gulbarga community in coming together to support needy people. He said it was encouraging to see members of the Gulbarga community united for a common cause. He also expressed his gratitude to all Gulbarga residents who participated in Hajj volunteer activities, appreciating their spirit of service and dedication.
Mr. Arif Shaikh, Vice President of GWS Makkah Chapter, addressed the gathering and motivated the team by emphasizing the importance of sincere deeds and efforts to help needy people. He encouraged everyone to become actively involved in the society, take responsibility, and contribute their time and efforts towards community welfare.
The event was successfully conducted by Mr. Akbar Ahmed, GWS Treasurer, who served as the Master of Ceremony. He also delivered the welcome speech and managed the program effectively, adding a special touch with his impressive Urdu poetry.
Among the speakers, Abdul Hameed Nawade, Azeemuddin Bidri, Mohammed Shahid, and Mr. Akhtar Shareef highlighted the valuable activities, achievements, aims, and contributions of the Gulbarga Welfare Society. They encouraged community members to continue working together with unity, dedication, and a spirit of service.
Several prominent community members and dignitaries attended the gathering, including Mohammed Ibrahim, Ghaus Patel, Abdul Hameed, Shakeel Saradgi, Azeem Bidri, Syed Khaja, Mohammed Mazhar Ali, Omer Khan, Mohammed Shahid, Afroz Ahmed, Mohammed Rameez, Mohammed Sadiq, Mohammed Nauman, Mohammed Saboor, Mohammed Muzammil, Omar Khan, Adil Furqan, Aqeem Mohammed, Abdul Shukoor, Abdul Jabbar, Syed Iqbal, Mohammed Harun, Mohsin Ahmed, Aijaz Khadri, and Mr. Akhtar Shareef.
The attendees expressed their happiness over the formation of the new Executive Committee and conveyed their best wishes to the newly appointed office-bearers. They expressed hope that the new team would work together with unity and dedication to further strengthen the society and serve the community.
Engr. Mohammed Amaan delivered the vote of thanks, expressing his sincere appreciation to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, organizers, newly appointed office-bearers, members, and everyone who contributed to the success of the program.
The program concluded on a warm and cordial note, followed by dinner for all the attendees.
