London, August 2026: As part of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s UK visit, London-based community and political organiser Asra Anjum played a supporting and facilitating role in helping coordinate UK-side engagements, stakeholder interactions and protocol arrangements during the Chief Minister’s visit.

Anjum, who has extensive experience in political, community and diaspora engagement in the UK, worked closely with relevant stakeholders to support the smooth coordination of meetings and engagements involving the Chief Minister and his delegation.

Her involvement included facilitating introductions and connections with UK-based stakeholders across education, business, community and institutional networks, while also supporting the protocol and logistical coordination surrounding the visit.

The UK programme included high-level engagements with leading academic and institutional bodies. The Telangana delegation held discussions with institutions including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas such as education, research, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Anjum’s contribution was particularly focused on helping build bridges between Telangana’s leadership and relevant UK stakeholders, with the broader objective of strengthening Telangana–UK relations, investment opportunities, institutional partnerships and diaspora engagement.

Speaking about her involvement, Asra Anjum said:

“It was a privilege to support the Hon’ble Chief Minister during his UK visit and to contribute, in whatever capacity I could, towards strengthening Telangana’s engagement with the UK. My focus was on bringing the right people and institutions together, supporting protocol and coordination, and ensuring that opportunities for meaningful engagement were facilitated effectively.”

She added:

“Telangana has enormous potential, and the UK has a strong ecosystem of universities, businesses, investors, professionals and diaspora communities. I believe there is a significant opportunity to build lasting bridges between the two, and I remain committed to supporting Telangana’s international engagement from the UK.”

Anjum said the experience reinforced the importance of creating a structured Telangana–UK network connecting government, business, academia, professionals and the diaspora.

Her involvement in the visit reflects her broader work across political, community and diaspora engagement in London, and her commitment to creating meaningful connections between the UK and Telangana.
