Makkah: The MNF Malayali Nurses Association organized the Hajj Volunteers Convocation 2026 in Makkah to honour nursing professionals who rendered voluntary healthcare services during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Held at Buhairat after the completion of Hajj, the event brought together volunteers to review the service activities carried out during the pilgrimage and recognise their dedication. The closing ceremony was organised under the theme, “Love for Dedication to Service.”
MNF Hajj Cell Chairman Busharul Jamhar inaugurated the programme and commended the volunteers for their tireless efforts and selfless service to pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
MNF President Mustafa Malayil presided over the function, while Hajj Cell Convener Salih Changanassery welcomed the gathering and presented the Hajj service report.
Engineer Fazal Muhammed, In-charge of the Indian Community in Makkah and IPWF Makkah, attended the event as the chief guest and congratulated the volunteers for their valuable contribution.
More than 100 Malayali nursing professionals from over 16 hospitals across Makkah participated in the MNF Hajj Cell’s volunteer mission this year. During the program, speakers acknowledged that their professional expertise and compassionate care provided significant relief to elderly and sick pilgrims during the pilgrimage.
As a token of appreciation, the volunteers who attended the convocation were presented with special mementoes in recognition of their dedicated service.
Office-bearers of the MNF Central Committee expressed their gratitude to all volunteers, noting that they had set an inspiring example by upholding the values of “Service with Heart” and “Support with Compassion” throughout the Hajj season.
