Tragedy In Riyadh: Telugu Driver Lakshminaraya Losed Month Long Battle For Life: Community Rallies To Bring Home His Mortal Remains.

RIYADH: B. Lakshminarayana, a native of Ramapuram in Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh, died in Riyadh after battling for his life for nearly a month. He had arrived in Saudi Arabia about six months ago to work as a driver.

Lakshminarayana was admitted in Riyadh Hospital after suffering severe chest pain. Doctors found around 90% blockage in three coronary arteries, and he underwent heart surgery on August 3. His condition later deteriorated, with kidney failure and coma, and he eventually succumbed despite intensive treatment. His death has deeply saddened the Telugu community in Saudi Arabia. Representatives of SATA, TASA, GTO and GIO expressed condolences and extended support to the bereaved family.

SATA President Srinivas Macha said the organisation remains committed to assisting Telugu people in distress, irrespective of political, regional, religious or other affiliations. Several community representatives and social activists, including Singu Naresh Kumar, Nooruddin, Kaja Mujammil Uddin, Mudigonda Shankar, Haimad Abdul Kareem and Lokesh Kokila, were involved in efforts to support Lakshminarayana and his family.

TASA KSA President Tirupati Swamy Swarna and social activist Mohammed Shabbir also assisted the family and coordinated with hospital authorities. Community members appreciated the humanitarian support extended by Lakshminarayana’s employer and others during the crisis.

Meanwhile, concerns were raised over the alleged lack of timely institutional support and certain approaches made to the grieving family regarding documentation for transporting the body to India. Community representatives stressed that humanity must remain above politics, personal publicity and individual interests during times of tragedy. They are working tirelessly and with utmost dedication to ensure the swift and dignified repatriation of the mortal remains, standing firmly beside the grieving family during this heartbreaking time.

SATA, TASA, GTO and GIO conveyed their deepest condolences to Lakshminarayana’s family and prayed for strength and courage for them to overcome the loss.
