RIYADH: In a stirring celebration that seamlessly blended patriotic fervour with cultural pride, the Saudi Arabia Telugu Association (SATA) commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with profound enthusiasm and a deep sense of national pride. The occasion served not merely as a tribute to the nation’s hard-won freedom, but also as a poignant reminder of the enduring bond that connects the Indian diaspora with their motherland.
Speaking on the occasion, SATA President Srinivas Macha paid heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters whose courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment paved the way for India’s independence. He reaffirmed SATA’s commitment, despite its members living far from home, to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage, traditions and patriotic values while nurturing these ideals among the younger generation.
He also called upon the community to contribute meaningfully to India’s progress, peace and prosperity, while upholding the cherished values of unity, fraternity and national solidarity.
The Independence Day celebrations radiated a deep sense of patriotism, national pride and unity, as SATA Founder Mallesham, regional presidents Sarvani Vidya Dharani, Teja Pallem and Pamireddy Ramireddy, along with Core Team members Shankar Mudigonda, Naresh Kumar Singu, Ahmed Abdul Kareem, Arshia Begum, Kokila Othuluri, Sricharan, Lokesh Thalla, Midhun Suresh, Khaja Muzammil Uddin, Mohammed Nooruddin, Arjun Krishna, Danish Kamal Khan, Irshad Hussain, Mohammed Shujaad Khan, Amir Alam, Mohammed Israr Ahmad Maksood, Ahmad Imran, Mohammed Mustaffa, Sheikh Aslam Pasha, Afroz Alam, Shoheb Ullah, Waseem, Shekhar Padala, Yogeshwar Rao and Rozadhar Syed (Aslam), joined the SATA family in extending their warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to fellow Indians on the 80th Independence Day.
