Riyadh, October 8, 2025 – In a heartfelt celebration of selflessness and service, the Indian Diaspora Riyadh (IDR) organized a splendid evening to honor five exemplary Indian businessmen and social activists whose contributions have significantly uplifted the expatriate community in Saudi Arabia. Held on October 3, 2025, at the Garden Restaurant 2, Riyadh, the event drew a large gathering of community members, representatives from various social organizations, and prominent city dignitaries, concluding with a lavish dinner hosted by the venue’s owner, Shah Jahan Ansari.
The Indian Diaspora Riyadh recognized individuals who embody the spirit of advancing their community without seeking personal acclaim. Publicly acknowledging such luminaries and celebrating their contributions fosters inspiration and strengthens communal bonds. The honorees, each a trailblazer in their respective fields, were presented with bouquets, shawls, and mementos as tokens of appreciation for their dedication to humanitarian causes and community welfare.
The distinguished awardees included:
• Mr. Mohammed Ashif, CEO of Expertise Contracting Co. Ltd. in Jubail, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from MediaOne Business Award 2025 for his transformative leadership in the industrial services sector, steering Expertise to over SR1 billion in revenue while fostering innovation and community engagement.
• Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed, a veteran physician and community stalwart, conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2025 by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in Bhubaneswar. This prestigious award recognizes his 45 years of contributions to healthcare, education (including founding the International Indian School in Taif), and philanthropy, strengthening India-Saudi relations.
• Engineer Mohammed Abdul Nayeem, Chairman of Masah Specialized Construction Company, recognized in Construction Week’s Power 150 – Middle East’s Most Influential Construction Leaders of 2025. Since 1993, he has led Masah to deliver landmark projects across healthcare, infrastructure, and hospitality in the GCC, driving over 50% annual growth and securing SAR2-5 billion in projects for 2025.
• Mr. Sayed Hadi Abbas, Division Manager for Corporate Relations and Business Development at Expertise Company in Jubail, recipient of the Social Impact & Humanitarian Award at the ZEE Media – Gulf Green Summit & Awards 2025 in Dubai for his outstanding efforts in sustainable business practices and environmental initiatives.
• Mr. Mahroof Poolamanna, Founder of Zivra Technology, awarded the Business Award 2025 for Excellence in IT Sector for his pioneering work in subscription-based technology solutions, empowering global enterprises with innovative billing and revenue management tools.
The event’s success was driven by the tireless efforts of IDR’s organizing team, comprising esteemed community figures known for their social contributions: Nadeem Akhter Tarin, Talib ur Rahman (former Chairman of IISR), Dr. Misbahul Arfin, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Sheikh Mohammed, Shahid, Shah Mohammed, Faiz Ahmed, Murghoob Mohsin, Shah Jahan Ansari, and Taha Ibrahim.
The ceremony commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Saqib Khan. Talib ur Rahman eloquently introduced the awardees, highlighting their remarkable journeys. Distinguished speakers, including chief convener Nadeem Akhter Tarin, Rashid Sheikh, Dr. Misbahul Arfin, and Mohammad Zaigham Khan, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of such recognitions in inspiring the diaspora to contribute meaningfully to both their host country and homeland.
The event was masterfully hosted by Murghoob Mohsin, renowned for his engaging and impactful emceeing at Riyadh events, ensuring a seamless and vibrant program.
