Riyadh: Renowned Indian sitar maestro Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan was warmly welcomed in Riyadh by Engineer M.A. Nayeem, Chairman of Masah Specialized Construction Company. The welcome ceremony was held at the residence of Engineer Nayeem.
The distinguished gathering was attended by Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Deputy Ambassador Abu Mathen George, diplomat V.P. Bawa, Dr. Anwar Khurshid, Engineer Abdul Bari, Engineer Jalal, Sultan Mazharuddin, and other prominent personalities.
Engineer M.A. Nayeem extended a heartfelt welcome to Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan and Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan. He felicitated them by draping shawls and presenting commemorative mementos.
Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
As part of the cultural program, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, in collaboration with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, organized a grand concert titled “Desert Harmony” at the Cultural Palace in Al-Safarat district. Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan mesmerized the audience with his soul-stirring performance.
The event was attended by ambassadors and diplomats from various countries, businessmen, and leading figures from the Saudi and Indian communities. The concert was widely appreciated as a shining example of the strong and growing cultural ties between India and Saudi Arabia.
