Arafat – The Indian Consulate in Jeddah, in coordination with the Indian Hajj Mission, achieved a major logistical milestone early today by successfully transporting Indian pilgrims from Mina to the plains of Arafat in a smooth and well-organized operation, marking the beginning of the most significant phase of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The large-scale movement of pilgrims was completedahead of schedule without any major delays, ensuring a comfortable journey for thousands of Indian pilgrims. Upon arrival in Arafat, pilgrims were accommodated in their designated camps and tents, allowing them to focus peacefully on prayers and spiritual devotion on the Day of Arafah.
Senior Indian diplomatic officials remained actively present on the ground to oversee arrangements and monitor the welfare of pilgrims. The Indian Hajj Mission is being led by Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, accompanied by Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri. Officials, mission staff, and volunteers continued to assist pilgrims across various camps in Arafat.
In a message shared from the sacred plains of Arafat, Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan and Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri extended warm greetings and prayers to pilgrims performing Hajj this year. They also conveyed Eid Al-Adha wishes to the Indian diaspora residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Indian contingent remains safe, secure, and fully supported with the cooperation of Saudi authorities, particularly the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as the key Hajj rituals continue.
