JEDDAH – Strengthening the momentum of the growing India–Saudi economic partnership, a high-level delegation from Gujarat-based KP Group concluded a series of strategic engagements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, exploring opportunities in renewable energy, green infrastructure, manufacturing, and sustainable investments aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The delegation was led by Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, and included Mr. Zafar Sareshwala, Mr. Hassan Patel (Director), Mr. Siddharth Thakur (Independent Director), Mr. SijatThakur (Executive Assistant to the Chairman), Mr. Ravi Raj Desai, Vice President-Elect of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), along with Mr. Habib Sareshwala and Mr. Irshad Akhtar of Al Hilal ESGS.
During the visit, the delegation met Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Embassy of India in Riyadh. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in renewable energy, investment, innovation, and sustainable development, reflecting the shared economic priorities of India and Saudi Arabia under Saudi Vision 2030.
The delegation was also hosted for a luncheon by Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah,where further discussions underscored the expanding scope of economic collaboration and investment between the two nations.
Founded in 1994 by Dr. Farukbhai G. Patel, KP Group has evolved from a logistics services company into one of Gujarat’s leading diversified business conglomerates. Over the past 31 years, the group has expanded across renewable energy, fabrication and galvanizing, telecom infrastructure, and more recently, green hydrogen and green ammonia, establishing itself as a major player in India’s clean energy sector.
Building on these official engagements, the Indian Business & Professionals Network (IBPN), under the leadership of its Chairman Azizur Rab, hosted an exclusive networking dinner in Jeddah in honor of the visiting delegation. The event brought together prominent Indian entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders from across the Kingdom for discussions on future collaboration.
During the interaction, KP Group presented its transformation from a single enterprise into a diversified conglomerate comprising 43 companies, with a 9.1 GW renewable energy portfolio, a market capitalisation of approximately USD 3 billion, and expanding operations in Saudi Arabia. The delegation also highlighted the group’s long-term commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s clean energy transition and industrial development.
Participants explored avenues for collaboration in renewable energy, green infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and strategic investments, reflecting the growing confidence of Indian companies in Saudi Arabia’s evolving investment landscape.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening India–Saudi economic relations through sustainable investments, technological innovation, and long-term business partnerships, reinforcing the deepening strategic and commercial ties between the two countries.
