Hyderabad: A large number of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and journalists attended the 11th NRI Meet and Eid Milap ceremony organized by the Central Branch of the International Journalists Fraternity Forum (IJFF). The grand event took place on Friday evening at the Seminar Hall of MS Education Academy Corporate Office, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
IJFF invited experts from various fields to address the gathering and provide valuable guidance to NRIs and journalists. The speakers included:
• D. Srinivas Reddy, President of the Overseas Manpower Recruiters Association
• Hafiz Peer Khaleeq Ahmed Saber, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
• Prof. Mohammed Masood Ahmed, COO of BB Cancer Hospital
• Engineer Syed Abdul Qadir Khalid, Chairman of Deccan NRI Group
• Amjad Hussain Zubair, General Secretary of Bazm-e-Ittehad Hyderabad
• Mohammed Safiuddin, Director of INSAAT Infra Projects
• Mohammed Hameed Khan from TOMCOM
• Advocate Iftikharuddin Ahmed, Legal Advisor from UAE
The speakers shared useful advice related to their respective fields.
Dr. Mohammed Asif Ali, President of IJFF, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the aims and objectives of the forum. Hafiz Peer Khaleeq Ahmed Saber emphasized the need for awareness in the present era, particularly promoting communal harmony and reviving the Ganga-Jamuni culture. He urged journalists to play a key role through electronic and print media in fostering social harmony.
Prof. Mohammed Masood Ahmed advised NRIs working in Gulf countries that while they invest their energy to accumulate property and savings, financial security alone is not enough. He stressed the importance of taking care of one’s health, noting that medical treatment has become extremely expensive, with some illnesses consuming one’s entire life savings.
Joint Secretary of the forum, Mukhtar Ahmed Fardeen, also addressed the audience.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Faiz Ahmed. Dr. Mohammed Asif Ali conducted the proceedings in an engaging manner and introduced senior journalists, NRIs, and prominent personalities present at the event.
On behalf of IJFF, special guests and dignitaries were felicitated with shawls as a mark of respect.
The dignified event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chief Patron of IJFF, Aleem Khan, followed by a sumptuous dinner.
