RIYADH, June 13, 2026: In an atmosphere resonating with pride, aspiration, and youthful enthusiasm, Dunes International School, Riyadh, celebrated its prestigious Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27, formally inducting the newly elected Student Senate. The grand ceremony brought together an esteemed gathering of school leaders, distinguished guests, parents, teachers, and students, creating a memorable platform to honour leadership, service, and democratic values. The event was graced by Mrs. Aasima Saleem, Principal of Yara International School, who attended as the Chief Guest. She was joined by Mrs. Sangeetha Annup, Principal of Dunes International School; Mudheera Mrs. Abeer Alghamdi; Mrs. Soji Abraham, Vice Principal; Mrs. Vidya Vinodh, Vice Principal, Mursalat Campus; Mr. Shanoj Abdullah, Administrative and Finance Director of the Daratassalam Group of Schools; and Mrs. Shanija Shanoj, Controller of Examinations. The newly elected senators participated in an impressive march-past, led by the Girls’ Senate and followed by the Boys’ Senate, reflecting discipline, confidence, and readiness to embrace their leadership roles.
The newly constituted Senate is headed by Anvi Sinoj as Head Girl and Naba Shan as Vice Head Girl, while Barath Ramamoorthy and Ethan Joseph assume the responsibilities of Head Boy and Vice Head Boy respectively. Supporting them is a dynamic team of student leaders overseeing portfolios such as Academics, Sports, Discipline, Culture, Editorial Affairs, Prefectorial Responsibilities, and House Leadership. Their appointments stand as a testament to their exemplary conduct, leadership potential, and commitment to the values cherished by the institution.
One of the most poignant moments of the evening was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, during which the newly elected leaders solemnly pledged to uphold the ideals of the school and discharge their responsibilities with honesty, commitment, and a spirit of selfless service. This was followed by the Investiture and Badge Presentation Ceremony, where dignitaries formally conferred the insignia of office upon the student leaders, symbolizing the trust and confidence placed in them by the school community.
