Rooted in Heritage, Enriched by Compassion: TSS Embarks on a New Chapter of Service with New Offce-Bearers.

JEDDAH: With more than two decades of dedicated community service, Thiruvananthapuram Swadeshi Sangam (TSS) has emerged as a vibrant platform for expatriates from Thiruvananthapuram, extending its support far beyond cultural activities to embrace wider social responsibilities. As a NORKA Roots-registered Kerala expatriate district association, TSS has consistently sought to uphold the welfare, dignity and interests of the community while contributing meaningfully to society through various social, charitable and humanitarian initiatives. Reflecting this enduring spirit of service and collective responsibility, the organisation has elected its new office-bearers for the forthcoming term. The new team was formally announced during TSS’s Onam celebration held on September 4, 2026, marking a new chapter in its 22-year journey of community engagement and social commitment.

TSS has entrusted its forthcoming term to a new leadership team, with a renewed focus on community welfare, social service and cultural engagement:
• President: Shabeer Subairuddin
• General Secretary: Mansoor Abdul Kalam
• Treasurer: Finus Venjaramoodu
• Vice Presidents: Najeeb Venjaramoodu, Krishnamoorthy
• Joint Secretaries: Ram Kumar, Sakkariya Pangalthadam
• Charity Convenor: Muhammed Biju
• Cultural Convenor: Harish Krishnan

The newly elected leadership has pledged to broaden TSS’s social, charitable and cultural initiatives, building on the organisation’s 22-year legacy as a recognised association under NORKA Roots. The team also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the community network of non-resident Keralites from Thiruvananthapuram living in Jeddah, while enhancing welfare initiatives for members and extending humanitarian support to the wider community.

With charity, cultural preservation and community welfare at the heart of its agenda, the new leadership aims to ensorcel the community with a renewed spirit of compassion and collective purpose, while carrying forward TSS’s longstanding tradition of service beyond self. The leadership is committed to ensuring that the association remains a dependable support system for expatriates and a constructive contributor to the society in which they live.
