JEDDAH – The International Indian School–Jeddah (IISJ) celebrated the 96th Saudi National Day on Tuesday, September 22, with a vibrant programme showcasing the Kingdom’s rich heritage, history and cultural identity.
The celebration was attended by students from Grades I to VIII, school leaders, teachers and distinguished guests, including Mr. Sultan Assuhaimi and Mr. Malik Al-Qureshi of the Saudi Ministry of Education.
The programme opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome address by Principal Dr. Mohammed Imran.
Students presented a range of cultural and educational performances. Boys from Grades I to V showcased traditional dances and cultural displays, while students from Grades VI to VIII presented a video tracing the history of Saudi Arabia and its kings in chronological order.
Senior students also organised an exhibition titled “The Hall of Kings,” highlighting the legacy and contributions of the Kingdom’s rulers.
Chairman of the Managing Committee Dr. Mohammad Aslam and Chief Guest Mr. Sultan Assuhaimi addressed the gathering, sharing their reflections and extending greetings on the occasion.
The event was attended by Vice Principal Mrs. Farahdunnisa, Administrative Officer Mrs. Nahid Fathima, heads of departments, academic supervisors and members of the school community.
The programme concluded with the Saudi National Anthem, followed by the Indian National Anthem, symbolising the enduring bonds of friendship, mutual respect and shared values between Saudi Arabia and India.
The school administration expressed its appreciation to the students, teachers, coordinators and staff members whose dedication and teamwork contributed to the successful celebration, making the occasion meaningful and memorable for the entire school community.
