JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – April 24, 2026 – In an atmosphere imbued with grace and collective pride, the Global Telangana Forum (GTF) convened its Annual Gathering and Awards Ceremony at the distinguished Village Restaurant in Jeddah. The event stood as a resplendent testament to a year marked by purposeful service, dynamic collaboration, and the spirited engagement of youth, drawing together an esteemed assembly of community members, scholars, volunteers, and dignitaries.
The proceedings commenced on a solemn and uplifting note with a melodious recitation of the Holy Quran by Abu Bakar, Mohammed Abdul Haseeb, and Abdullah Abdul Majeed, casting a serene and contemplative aura over the gathering. In his address, Sheikh Omar eloquently exhorted the younger generation to remain steadfastly anchored to the teachings of the Quran, urging them to embody its timeless moral precepts and integrate its guiding principles into the fabric of their daily lives.
GTF Founder and President Abdul Jabbar stood at the forefront of the evening’s discourse, articulating with clarity and conviction the forum’s rapid expanding footprint across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Under his stewardship, GTF has established a vibrant presence in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, evolving into a dynamic force of community service and solidarity. He underscored a spectrum of impactful initiatives—including Hajj volunteer services, blood donation drives, welfare programs, and compassionate repatriation support—meticulously carried out in close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Indian Consulate in Jeddah. Emphasizing both scale and accessibility, Abdul Jabbar highlighted GTF’s growing influence across the wider Gulf region, reinforced by its unwavering commitment to providing round-the-clock assistance.
Complementing this vision, Vice President Mohammed Layeeq who is always infallible with his teammates vivaciously extended a gracious welcome to the distinguished gathering, while eloquently advocating for deeper institutional partnerships as a means to amplify community outreach. He called upon volunteers to engage with renewed vigour in forthcoming initiatives, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and sustained impact. Adding further depth to the proceedings, Veera Swamy offered thoughtful reflections on enhancing collaborative efforts within the community framework and warmly congratulated the award recipients for their exemplary achievements.
A defining highlight of the evening was the felicitation of winners from the Quran Qirat Competition 2026 and the Republic Day Quiz Competition 2026, each drawing participation from over 200 contestants across the Kingdom. These accolades eloquently reflected GTF’s steadfast commitment to cultivating young talent and fostering both cultural and spiritual literacy. The ceremony further paid tribute to the Hajj volunteers for their exemplary service during the sacred pilgrimage. Special commendation was accorded to the Makkah Hajj Volunteers Team, led by Khaleelullah Siddique and Fazal Mohammed, alongside a devoted corps of over 150 volunteers who rendered invaluable guidance and support to pilgrims.
Distinguished community leaders from Jeddah and Makkah, representing a spectrum of organizations, graced the occasion and were duly honoured for their invaluable contributions to social welfare and community advancement. The proceedings were adeptly compered by General Secretary Mohammed Imtiaz Shaik, while Hussain Shabbir delivered a gracious vote of thanks, extending heartfelt appreciation to all participants, organizers, and patrons.
