JEDDAH – The Global Telangana Forum (GTF) recently organised its Annual Gathering and Awards Ceremony at Village Restaurant in Jeddah, drawing a diverse audience of community members, scholars, volunteers, and distinguished guests. The event served as a platform to reflect on the organization’s achievements over the past year, highlighting its contributions to community service, collaborative initiatives, and youth engagement. Awards were presented to recognize outstanding efforts and dedication across various fields, underscoring GTF’s continued commitment to social development and community empowerment.
The evening commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Abu Bakar, Mohammed Abdul Haseeb, and Abdullah Abdul Majeed, setting a solemn and reflective tone for the program. Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Omar urged young attendees to remain connected to the teachings of the Quran and to uphold strong moral values in their daily lives.
GTF Founder and President Mohammed Jabbar highlighted the forum’s expanding presence across Saudi Arabia, with active chapters in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam. He outlined key initiatives undertaken by the organization, including Hajj volunteer services, blood donation drives, community welfare programs, and repatriation support, all carried out in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Indian Consulate in Jeddah. He further noted the forum is growing footprint across the Kingdom and the wider Gulf region, emphasizing the availability of its round-the-clock services.
Vice President Mohammed Layeeq welcomed the guests and underscored the importance of partnerships with other organizations to enhance community outreach. He also encouraged volunteers to take an active role in upcoming initiatives. Veera Swamy, in his remarks, emphasized the need to further strengthen community initiatives and collaboration, and congratulated all the award winners for their commendable performance.
A key highlight of the evening was the felicitation of winners from the Holy Quran Qirat Competition 2026 and the Republic Day Quiz Competition 2026, both of which drew participation from over 200 contestants across the Kingdom. The awards reflected GTF’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting cultural as well as religious knowledge.
The ceremony also recognized Hajj volunteers for their dedicated service during the pilgrimage season. Special appreciation was extended to the Makkah Hajj Volunteers Team, led by Khaleeleelullah Siddique and Fazal Mohammed, along with more than 150 volunteers who provided guidance and support to pilgrims.
Community leaders from Jeddah and Makkah, representing various organizations, attended the event and were felicitated in recognition of their contributions to social welfare, community development, and public service.
The event was expertly conducted under the leadership of General Secretary Mohammed Imtiaz Shaikh. Hussain Shabbir delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all attendees, organizers, and supporters. The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner hosted by Village Restaurant, providing attendees an opportunity for networking and camaraderie.
The GTF leadership team was also recognized for its continued efforts in advancing initiatives focused on education, empowerment, and community service.
The GTF core leadership team includes Founder and President Mohammed Jabbar, Vice President Mohammed Layeeq, General Secretary Imtiaz Shaikh, Medical Vice President Dr. Obaidullah Junaid, Education Vice President Dr. Abdul Matheen, Joint Secretaries Shabbir Hussain and Veera Swamy, Eastern Region In-charge Syed Imran, and Executive Member Mohammed Faiz, all of whom are actively contributing to the organization’s growth and various initiatives.
