Dubai, UAE – 28 September 2026: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is presenting a range of training and specialist programmes along with employment opportunities at Ru’ya Careers UAE 2026. The participation forms part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to attract and develop Emirati talent and strengthen their role in the growth and sustainability of the health sector.
At the exhibition, DHA is highlighting the Nokhba programme and its medical education and training pathways. These include the internship programme as well as residency and fellowship programmes. In parallel, the Authority is offering 529 job vacancies across medical, technical and administrative specialisations. The vacancies are listed on the Authority’s platform and are being promoted in cooperation with six private healthcare facilities. This collaboration reinforces the strategic partnership between the government and private sectors to advance Emiratisation and expand career pathways for national talent.
Interactive workshops and sessions are being held throughout the exhibition. These introduce jobseekers to available programmes, employment and training opportunities in the health sector, entry requirements, and ways to improve readiness for the labour market. A dedicated session on building a professional identity on LinkedIn will also take place, guiding participants on strengthening their professional presence, understanding health-sector trends, and presenting their experience effectively on the platform.
Long-term investment in national talent
Dr Khawla Al Hajaj, Director of the Medical Education and Research Department at Dubai Health Authority, emphasised that investing in national talent is a long-term investment in the future of the health sector. She underlined the importance of attracting Emiratis into health professions and developing them through advanced training and clear career pathways that respond to the sector’s current and future needs.
“We are committed to ensuring that our efforts to attract national talent go beyond providing job opportunities, to building complete career pathways founded on education, training, specialisation and continuous development. This enables Emirati talent to gain knowledge, skills and experience, and encourages more of the nation’s sons and daughters to choose health specialisations and build their careers in them,” she said.
Dr Al Hajaj added that the medical education and training system helps build and develop qualified national capabilities in the specialisations required by the health sector. It also supplies the sector with expertise able to keep pace with global advances in health sciences and practice, thereby strengthening the sustainability of human capital.
The Nokhba programme
Noura Al Midfa, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Health Authority, explained that the Nokhba programme aims to attract national talent and train them for 12 months under the supervision of specialist experts. High performers are then assessed and appointed to vacant positions according to the Authority’s actual needs.
She noted that participation in Ru’ya 2026 enables DHA to engage directly with national talent, understand their capabilities and ambitions, and introduce them to available career and training pathways. On-site interviews are also being conducted during the exhibition for the various roles and specialisations on offer.
This approach supports the Authority’s Emiratisation plans and programmes and helps sustain expertise within the health sector.
