JEDDAH: The Consulate General of India, Jeddah, celebrated the 11th Ayurveda Day with a special program highlighting the holistic principles of Ayurveda and its growing contemporary relevance in preventive healthcare, nutrition and healthy living.
The program brought together representatives of Saudi institutions, members of the diplomatic community, healthcare and wellness professionals, academics, industry representatives and members of the Indian community.
The event featured expert presentations and interactive discussions focusing on the role of Ayurveda in promoting healthy lifestyles and preventive approaches to well-being. An Ayurveda Exhibition also formed part of the programme, offering visitors an opportunity to explore Ayur Aahaar, medicinal plants, herbs and spices, as well as a range of Indian Ayurvedic and wellness products.
The exhibition provided an engaging platform to showcase India’s traditional knowledge and wellness practices while highlighting their relevance in today’s health-conscious world.
The celebration reflected this year’s theme, “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow,” and the broader vision of “One Health, One Future.”
The program underscored the importance of taking a holistic view of health, recognising the close connection between individual well-being, healthy communities and a sustainable future.
The event also served as an opportunity to strengthen awareness and appreciation of Ayurveda and India’s rich traditional wellness heritage among the wider community in Saudi Arabia.
