JEDDAH: Marking the 96th Saudi National Day through the noble act of blood donation, the OICC Jeddah Malappuram District Committee, in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University Hospital, organised a blood donation camp, celebrating the occasion through solidarity, compassion and social responsibility.
As part of the National Day celebrations, the initiative sought to express solidarity with the Kingdom through a noble act of humanitarian service. Held under the leadership of OICC Malappuram District Committee President Saifudheen Vazhayil, who served as the guiding chaperone of the initiative, the camp witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from OICC members and community volunteers, who came forward to donate blood and contribute to this life-saving cause.
Saifudheen Vazhayil emphasised that blood donation is a noble and life-saving humanitarian service, with every donor playing a vital role in ensuring timely blood availability during medical emergencies. He said that the enthusiastic participation of expatriates in the social-welfare initiatives of the host country reflects their sense of responsibility and solidarity. Organisers noted that the initiative beautifully embodied the National Day values of unity, fraternity, cooperation and social responsibility, while strengthening bonds of friendship between the expatriate community and Saudi society.
The OICC Malappuram District Committee conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to all blood donors and volunteers whose generosity turned the National Day celebration into a meaningful act of compassion. The committee also extended its warm appreciation to King Abdulaziz University Hospital management and Blood Bank staff—Dr Ahmed Abdullah Al-Maliki, Ahmed Al-Abdali and Omar Asiri—for their invaluable cooperation and support, in response to the OICC committee’s efforts the Hospital Management offered an encomium to the OICC Malappuram District Committee, appreciating its dedication, humanitarian spirit and genuine affection for the host country. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such noble humanitarian initiatives, further strengthening the expatriate community’s spirit of service, social responsibility and solidarity.
