The Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX 2025), the largest international B2B jewellery exhibition in Jeddah, was inaugurated on 11 September 2025 at the Jeddah Superdome. Organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, the Embassy of India in Riyadh, and supported by Invest Saudi and the Chambers of Commerce of Jeddah and Makkah, the event featured over 200 exhibitors from India and other countries, showcasing fine jewellery, gemstones, and innovative designs.
The inauguration was attended by HRH Princess Nourah Al-Faisal, Eng. Fahad AL Jubairy, Mr. Khalid A. Al-Sheddi, and other dignitaries. Shri Kirit Bhansali, GJEPC Chairman, highlighted the potential for India-Saudi cooperation in the gems and jewellery sector, while H.E. Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India, emphasized the Strategic Partnership Council’s role in bilateral engagement. A message from India’s Commerce Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, wished the event success.
The World Jewellery Investment Forum, held alongside, featured discussions on trade, investment, and consumer trends, moderated by Ms. Manisha Gupta. Panels included experts like Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Mrs. Haya I. Alazman, and Mr. Ahmed Alzubidy, focusing on Vision 2030 and India’s “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. A curated jewellery-apparel show by designer Mr. Ashfaq and a performance by Indian cultural troupe VIHARA added cultural flair.
