He highlighted the presence of experienced and talented players such as Firas Al-Brekan, Saud Abdul Hamid, and Salem Al-Dosari, along with a dependable goalkeeper who provides stability and confidence throughout the team. Although the final squad selection is yet to be officially confirmed, Al-Muaina noted that the players appear well-trained and ready for the challenge ahead.
He recalled the Saudi national team’s historic victory over Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a result that demonstrated the determination and fighting spirit of Saudi football. Since then, several promising young players have joined the squad, adding fresh energy, skill, and depth to the team.
“Gone are the days when the Saudi team entered major tournaments with hesitation,” Almaeena said. “Today, the players compete with confidence, ambition, and determination.”
He expressed hope that the Green Falcons would deliver strong performances, showcase their abilities on the world stage, and make the nation proud. With a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging young talent, expectations are high that Saudi Arabia will compete strongly throughout the tournament.
At the same time, concerns have been raised regarding certain organizational and logistical arrangements in the United States ahead of the competition. Observers hope that any challenges will be addressed promptly to ensure a smooth and successful experience for players, officials, media representatives, and supporters.
As the FIFA World Cup remains a global celebration of football, stakeholders have emphasized the importance of providing a welcoming environment for participants and fans from around the world, while maintaining safety and adhering to international sporting regulations.
