World’s Tallest Gold Bar Draws Crowds at Sharjah Jewellery Show with ‘Measure Your Height in Gold’ Experience

SHARJAH, October 1, 2026: Visitors to the 58th Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show at Expo Centre Sharjah are flocking to one of the exhibition’s most striking attractions — the world’s tallest gold bar, officially recognised by Guinness World Records and showcased by BTC.

The impressive gold bar stands 2.12 metres (6 feet 11.5 inches) tall, earning it the official title of the world’s tallest gold bar as confirmed by a Guinness World Records certificate. Designed in the form of a golden ruler, the record-breaking piece has been transformed into an interactive display that invites visitors to engage with it directly.

Under the concept “Measure Your Height in Gold,” guests can stand beside the towering bar, compare their height against its impressive length, and capture memorable photographs. The bar is displayed vertically on a dedicated platform featuring the exhibition’s branding, with the official Guinness World Records certificate placed alongside it to document the achievement and identify the bar as the record holder.

The unique presentation offers a fresh way of showcasing gold, blending the intrinsic value of the precious metal with innovative design and strong visual appeal. Its exceptional height allows visitors to experience a gold piece on an extraordinary scale rarely seen before.

BTC’s participation with this remarkable exhibit forms part of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, which is being held at Expo Centre Sharjah from 30 September to 4 October 2026. The exhibition features more than 500 brands from 19 countries across an area exceeding 30,000 square metres. It also hosts five international pavilions representing Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore and Thailand.

With a history spanning more than five decades, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show continues to attract jewellery houses, brands, designers, manufacturers, buyers and industry professionals. The event showcases the latest designs and collections in gold, diamonds, precious gemstones and watches.

The world’s tallest gold bar has quickly become one of the talking points of this year’s edition, offering both spectacle and an engaging visitor experience.
