Jeddah – A delegation of the Telangana International Association recently met with the Consul General of India in Jeddah, H.E. Fahad Khan Suri, to formally introduce the newly formed association and present its objectives and structure. During the meeting, the delegation introduced each member organization associated with TIA and briefed the Consul General about the association’s vision to work collaboratively for the welfare of the Indian diaspora and to strengthen Telangana’s cultural presence in the Kingdom.
The Consul General valued the initiative and urged the association to keep making positive contributions to community well-being and constructive involvement.
The establishment of the Telangana International Association signifies an important advancement for cohesive representation and organized community support among Telangana expatriates in the Gulf area.
Indian expatriates from Telangana residing in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia have established the Telangana International Association (TIA) in Jeddah, uniting prominent and longstanding Telangana organizations that support the community in the Kingdom. The Telangana International Association aims to promote Telangana’s vibrant cultural heritage through festivals and community events, while also prioritizing educational programs, health awareness campaigns, social welfare assistance, and initiatives for youth and women’s empowerment. The platform aims to promote collaboration between various organizations, strengthen community cohesion, and make a beneficial impact on society through organized and inclusive leadership.
The association features representation from Khak-E-Taiba – Mohammed Jibran; Urdu Academy – Khalid Hussain; Bazm-e-Ittehad Jeddah – Mohammed Farooq; Telangana Welfare Forum – Syed Afzal; Iqbal Academy – Abdul Wahab; IYWA – Mir Ghazanfar Zaki; SIBCF – Mir Arif Ali; Urdu Gulban – Abdul Khaliq; Global Telangana – Mohammed Layeeq; and Jeddah Telugu M – Durga Bhavani, along with various other senior community entities.
Dr. Mohammed Saleem has been appointed as Chairman, with Dr. Mirza Qudrath Nawaz Baig serving as Vice Chairman, Imran Kausar serves as the General Secretary. Abdul Rahman M. Baig, Shaik Aleem, Ahmed Abdul Wasey, Osman Ahmed will oversee the responsibilities related to media and press.
