JEDDAH: In an atmosphere infused with irresistible aromas, vibrant cultural fellowship, and the timeless allure of traditional cuisine, Malabar Adukkala orchestrated an extraordinary delectable Biriyani Festival at Lulu Hypermarket Marwa in Jeddah. The occasion unfolded not merely as a culinary competition, but as a heartwarming celebration of diversity, friendship, and shared heritage, where Saudi nationals and Indian expatriates came together in a remarkable spirit of harmony and cultural exchange.
Conducted under the dynamic leadership of Malabar Adukkala Chief Co Ordinator and Moderator Kubra Latheef — a visionary culinary figure renowned for consistently making waves and marching to the cadence of her own distinctive creativity — the contest was meticulously adjudicated on the basis of taste, aroma, and presentation. The distinguished judging panel comprising Lulu Regional Chef Nizam, Chef Sajna Younus, and Chef Mubeena Anwar evaluated each entry with exceptional precision, cogent professional discernment, and refined culinary expertise, carefully assessing every preparation for its flavour, fragrance, and artistic presentation.
Demonstrating remarkable culinary finesse, Saudha Salam emerged as the first-place winner, while Shakeela Mansoor secured the second position and Fathimathul Haniya earned an admirable third place distinction.
The evening was brought to life by the eloquent and spirited comperes, Aisha Shamis and Shiraz Sayyid, whose engaging stage presence sustained the enthusiasm and elegance of the gathering throughout the programme. The celebratory atmosphere was further elevated through captivating musical performances and delightful children’s dance presentations, which added vibrancy, charm, and festive splendour to the occasion.
The event was graced by the presence of Sameera Aziz as the chief guest. The programme also received the wholehearted support of Jawad, General Manager of Lulu Hypermarket Marwa, along with Manager Basheer, whose presence added prominence to the occasion.
The coordinated and efficacious efforts of executive members Shamseera, Sahira Sawaad, Ashika Ramnas, Haseena Afsal, Sabrina, Suneera, Surumi, Latheef Mogral, Badsha, Yusuf Kotta, and Ashif of A7 Media proved instrumental in ensuring the resounding success and seamless execution of the event.
Far beyond the realm of a culinary contest, the paramount Biriyani Festival blossomed into a magnificent celebration of unity, culture, and human connection — a memorable gathering where flavours transcended borders, friendships flourished, and hearts converged in harmony, leaving an enduring imprint upon the vibrant expatriate community of Jeddah.
