Founded in 2013 under the leadership of Architect Abdul Rahman Saleem, Bazm-e-Urdu Toastmasters Club is the only Urdu-language Toastmasters club in Riyadh. Guided by senior members such as Mohammed Mubin, Abdul Quddus Javeed, and Syed Atiq Ahmed, who have previously been associated with English Toastmasters clubs, the club has been successfully operating for over a decade. It serves as a vital platform for the Urdu-speaking community, particularly youth, to enhance their leadership, public speaking, and personality development skills while promoting the Urdu language and its rich literary heritage.
Toastmasters International, headquartered in the United States, is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering communication, leadership, and personality development skills. While most of its clubs operate in English, branches like Bazm-e-Urdu Toastmasters in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam promote Urdu through their activities, contributing significantly to both personal growth and the advancement of Urdu language and culture.
The club encourages Urdu-speaking residents of Riyadh, especially young individuals, to join and benefit from its programs, which not only foster personality development but also strengthen efforts to promote and develop the Urdu language.
