Celebrated annually on May 12, the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the occasion honours those noble professionals whose selfless service, resilience, and empathy continue to heal lives, comfort the suffering, and uphold the very essence of humanity.
In commemoration of International Nurses Day, Chennai Express Restaurant at Jeddah, a prominent Indian restaurant operating in Sharafiyah, Jeddah, organised a grand and heartwarming felicitation ceremony on May 12, celebrating the invaluable contributions of nurses to humanity and healthcare. The event, conducted with the wholehearted cooperation of volunteers from the Red Sea Tamil Community, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than one hundred Tamil and Indian nurses, transforming the occasion into a memorable tribute to compassion, sacrifice, and humanitarian service.
The distinguished gathering was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Jayasree Moorthy, whose inspiring address eloquently highlighted the unwavering dedication, selfless compassion, and immeasurable humanitarian service rendered by nurses in the healthcare profession. Joining her in paying glowing tributes to the nursing fraternity were Senior Nurse Jyothi and Dental Surgeon Dr. Kamal, both of whom also lauded the management of Chennai Express Restaurant for spearheading such a noble and meaningful initiative in honour of healthcare heroes.
Adding warmth and festivity to the memorable evening, the celebrations featured a ceremonial cake-cutting followed by captivating musical performances aimed at relieving stress and rejuvenating the spirits of the healthcare professionals. Under their dedicated stewardship, certificates and commemorative medals were ceremoniously presented to honour the tireless service, unwavering compassion, and humanitarian dedication of nurses who continue to serve society with extraordinary resilience and selflessness.
