JEDDAH: Reinforcing its role as a proactive stakeholder in the Indian expatriate education ecosystem, the Indian School Parents Forum (ISPAF) continues to champion meaningful engagement between parents and institutional leadership. With a strong association with premier institutions, particularly the International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ), the forum has steadily positioned itself as a pivotal platform for dialogue, collaboration, and academic advancement.
As part of its community outreach during the holy month of Ramadan, ISPAF organised a well-attended Iftar gathering to felicitate the newly appointed members of the School Management Committee (SMC) of IISJ. The event, held at the MRA Restaurant Party Hall, witnessed the participation of parents, community representatives, and distinguished invitees, creating an atmosphere marked by warmth, unity, and shared purpose. The gathering primarily aimed to welcome and honour the newly inducted SMC members, acknowledging their crucial role in guiding the academic and administrative framework of IISJ. The event also highlighted ISPAF’s continued efforts to strengthen institutional relationships and advocate for the holistic development of students within the expatriate community.
Proceedings began with a welcome address by Dr. Mohamed Faisal, who outlined the significance of collective engagement. This was followed by the presidential address of Engr. Mohammed Baiju, who stressed the importance of unified efforts in enhancing the quality of education. The programme was graced by the presence of Guest of Honour Farahdunnisa, Vice Principal (Girls Section), IISJ. During the felicitation segment, ISPAF office bearers extended their congratulations to the SMC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Aslam, along with committee members Dr. Mohammed Asif Khan, Mohammad Rashid, Syed Nayeemuddin, Dr. Sabna Kotta, and Fadhil Nibraz, appreciating their readiness to shoulder key responsibilities. A presentation detailing ISPAF’s recent initiatives and contributions to the school community was also delivered, underlining its active involvement in student-centric development.
In an interactive session, ISPAF representatives raised several key issues concerning academic and administrative matters. Among that important demands were the fair moderation of marks for cancelled Class 10 and 12 CBSE examinations, and the introduction of additional sections in higher classes to ease student density and improve learning outcomes. The forum also highlighted the need for financial relief measures, including the waiver of late fees and re-admission charges for families facing economic challenges. Additionally, it called for a revision in teachers’ salary structures, emphasising that educator welfare remains central to sustaining academic standards. The need for broader improvements in educational quality and institutional practices at IISJ was also reiterated.
Responding to these concerns, Dr. Mohammad Aslam, along with SMC members and Vice Principal Farahdunnisa, assured that the issues raised would be reviewed with due consideration. The interaction concluded on a constructive note, reflecting mutual understanding and a shared commitment to institutional progress. The engagement is expected to contribute positively towards enhancing the academic environment and overall student experience at the International Indian School Jeddah.
