Telangana Chief Minister’s ambitious initiative to empower women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) is set to transform the state’s socio-economic landscape. The visionary program targets the creation of one crore women millionaires by providing financial support, skill development, and market access to SHG members.
Under this scheme, the state government plans to enhance access to microfinance, promote entrepreneurship, and establish robust training programs tailored for women in rural and urban areas. The CM emphasized that SHGs will serve as a catalyst for economic independence, enabling women to start businesses, scale existing ventures, and achieve financial stability.
The initiative also includes partnerships with banks and private enterprises to ensure sustainable funding and mentorship. By fostering a supportive ecosystem, the government aims to uplift women from diverse backgrounds, making them key contributors to Telangana’s economy.
