Riyadh – “Hindustani Bazm-e-Urdu” and “Bazm-e-Urdu Toastmasters Club,” Riyadh, jointly organized a grand reception in honour of Mr. Aamir Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Daily, who was on a short visit to Saudi Arabia to participate in the “Saudi Media Forum 2026.”
Addressing the distinguished gathering, Mr. Aamir Ali Khan emphasized that Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from Gulf countries should utilize their professional experience and take advantage of the startup facilities available in their homeland. He said that there would not be any major issues regarding SIR in Telangana, provided all necessary documents are properly prepared.
He further advised NRIs to encourage their children to pursue diverse professional courses beyond traditional fields such as medicine and engineering and to prepare for competitive examinations. “Students of Indian schools in the Gulf, especially in Saudi Arabia, are highly talented, and their abilities must be effectively utilized,” he remarked.
Speaking on social issues, Aamir Ali Khan said that Muslims in India are facing various challenges but stressed that there is no need for despair, as conditions can improve with patience and wisdom. He noted that today’s Muslim community responds thoughtfully rather than impulsively, which he described as a positive development.
On the issue of Zakat, he said it should be distributed in a manner that enables beneficiaries to become self-reliant and capable of paying Zakat themselves in the future. During his address, he also highlighted the welfare services of the “Siasat Millat Fund.”
President of Hindustani Bazm-e-Urdu Riyadh, Mohammed Saifuddin, introduced the organization, while Abdul Quddus Javed presented an overview of the Bazm-e-Urdu Toastmasters Club. Distinguished Toastmaster Mohammed Mubeen introduced prominent personalities from various social organizations present at the event and urged Aamir Ali Khan to highlight the activities of Riyadh-based NRIs in Siasat Daily. He alongwith Presidents of Hindustani Bazme Urdu and Bazme Urdu Toastmasters Club honoured the guest with a shawl and presented gifts.
Engineer Mohammed Abdul Bari, Chief Growth Officer of MASAH Specialized Construction Company, Saudi Arabia, presented a copy of the book Indian Architectural Heritage by KN Wasif, published in collaboration with Engineer Muhammad Abdul Nayeem, Chairman of MASAH Construction Company. Renowned poet Iftikhar Raghib also presented his poetry collection to the guest.
On this occasion, convener of the All India Steering Committee Mohammed Zaigham Khan and senior NRIs Abdul Ahad Siddiqui and Sultan Mazharuddin also addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Syed Atiq Ahmed.
