Riyadh, October 2, 2025 – In a vibrant tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Forum for Education (IFE) organized a Coloring Competition at Mark & Save Hyper Store in Riyadh on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti. Over 100 children aged 5-12 from diverse backgrounds participated, celebrating creativity, peace, and the enduring legacy of the Father of the Nation.
The event, anchored by Engr Farhan, commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a floral welcome for the guests. The competition was inaugurated by distinguished guests, including Dr. Anwar Khursheed (Pravasi Bhartiye Samman Awardee), Dr. M. Ashraf Ali (Director, World Business Group), and Engr M. Shakeel (Technocrat and Businessman). Dr. Dilshad, President of IFE, welcomed the audience and highlighted IFE’s initiatives, while Mr. Musthafa, Manager of Mark & Save, also graced the stage.
A panel of educators and artists judged the competition, with winners receiving exciting prizes. Select parents were also felicitated for their support. All participants enjoyed refreshments and warm hospitality from the IFE team. The event’s success was driven by dedicated IFE members, including Mr. Shahzad Samdani, Mr. Feroz Khan, Mr. Shahzad Khan, Mr. Arshad Jawed, and Dr. Javed, with Mr. Salman Khalid assisting in the prize distribution.
IFE extended heartfelt gratitude to Mark & Save Hyper Store for their generous support and to all volunteers and families who contributed to the event’s success. This initiative not only honored Gandhi’s principles of peace and unity but also nurtured community spirit and artistic expression among young minds.
