Hyderabad: Sahar Begum, daughter of Mr. Sheikh Abdullah, Chairman of Asian TV News, has achieved a remarkable milestone in her academic journey by earning a Master’s in Law (LLM) in International Financial Regulation and Corporate Law from Brunel University London. Through her dedication to legal education, Sahar has become an inspiration for the younger generation, particularly young women, demonstrating that excellence in the field of law can open doors to global opportunities. While students often gravitate toward careers in medicine, engineering, or IT, Sahar has distinguished herself in the legal domain, earning a prestigious degree from a renowned international institution.
The degree was conferred upon Sahar Begum during a ceremony held at Brunel University London on July 16. Expressing her gratitude, Sahar offered thanks to the Almighty for her success. Reflecting on her journey, she shared that pursuing education in London and achieving a distinguished degree was the cherished dream of her late grandparents, Sheikh Afzal and his wife. “Today, their dream has been fulfilled,” she said, adding with a tinge of sorrow, “It is unfortunate that they are not among us to witness this joyous moment.”
Sahar attributed her success to the blessings and prayers of her parents, her late maternal grandfather Mr. Rafique Ahmed Sheikh, and her grandmother. As the sister of Sheikh Anwar, Manager of TT TV News, and Sheikh Aman, In-Charge of Asian TV News, Sahar has been supported by her family throughout her journey. Her elder sister Farheen Begum, brother-in-law Mohammed Abrar (currently residing in London), younger sister, and other members of the Sheikh family, including Sheikh Ahmed Taiya, extended their heartfelt congratulations on her outstanding academic achievement. They expressed their best wishes and high expectations for her bright future.
