JEDDAH: In a beautiful confluence of culture, devotion, and community spirit, the Iftar soirée hosted by the Kalarathna Dance Group, Jeddah, blossomed into an evening of artistic charm and warm fellowship, set against the vibrant brotherhood of the city’s expatriate life and reflecting the group’s enduring passion for nurturing creativity while strengthening bonds through the universal language of art.
The open hall of Mahmood Saeed Souk in Faisaliyah was elegantly transformed under the thoughtful leadership of Chief Coordinator Sreetha Anilkumar, as the event was inaugurated by renowned singer Jamal Pasha, who commended the Kalarathna Dance Group for its meaningful contributions to enriching the cultural life of the Malayali community and its steadfast dedication to artistic excellence and expressive creativity.
In anticipation of the sacred Laylat al-Qadr, the audience was touched by a soulful musical rendition by Nooh Beemapally, adding a serene and spiritual depth to the evening. Enhancing the occasion further, a beautifully painted watercolour portrait of Aradhya Shinoj by the talented Keerthana Sumeesh was ceremoniously unveiled, drawing admiration from all present.
As the Kalarathna Dance Group marks its fifth year, it continues to shine as a vibrant platform blending Kerala’s rich traditions with modern artistic expressions, with speakers highlighting its significant role in nurturing young talents and fostering cultural unity among expatriate Malayalis in Jeddah.
Felicitations were offered by Reetha and Nawas Beemapally, while the event was smoothly coordinated by a dedicated team including Rafi Jubi, Neethu, Sumayya, Akbar, Aji, Santhosh, Najeeb, Nawas, and Prajeesh. The programme began with a warm welcome by Pournami Teacher and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Anilkumar, leaving behind fond memories of a graceful and meaningful Iftar gathering.
