The Gulbarga Welfare Society successfully organized a family get-together in Riyadh at Qasr Isteraha Banquet Hall, drawing a large gathering of Gulbarga residents along with their families and children.
Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awardee and prominent social worker in Riyadh, Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the President of Gulbarga Welfare Society, Mr. Mukhtarullah Jagirdar, presided over the program.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed appreciated the efforts and initiatives of the Gulbarga Welfare Society, particularly its work in supporting underprivileged communities from Gulbarga both within the Kingdom and in India. He said, we are privileged to live and work in a country that has provided us with opportunities, stability, and dignity. It is our responsibility to respect its values, contribute positively to its society, and serve as ambassadors of our heritage.
The Advisor of Gulbarga welfare society, Saudi ArabiaMr. Syed Nasir Khursheed, in his address, praised the dedication of the Riyadh chapter team and encouraged attendees to extend their support to enable the organization to reach a broader population in need. He also acknowledged the founders, the team in India, and the chapters operating across various cities within the Kingdom.
President Mr. Mukhtarullah Jagirdar while speaking, stated that the society’s mission extends beyond charitable activities to fostering unity, brotherhood, and mutual cooperation within the community. He noted that the gathering symbolized not only a social occasion but also a renewed collective commitment to strengthening community bonds
Vice President Mr. Tameem Ul Hassan delivered a comprehensive presentation on the society’s journey since its inception. He emphasized that the organization serves individuals in need irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, and highlighted its past initiatives, success stories, and future plans, which were met with enthusiastic applause.
As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to Dr. Syed Anwar Khursheed for attending as Chief Guest. Mementoes were also awarded to executive committee members of the Gulbarga Welfare Society,Riyadh chapter in recognition of their dedicated service to the community.
A memento was presented to the Golden Sponsor, Mr. Abdul Majeed Bathruddin, CEO and Managing Director of UIC Saudi Arabia, and was received on his behalf by Mr. Hyder Ali, Branch Manager, UIC Riyadh. Another memento was presented to Engr. Abdul Ghani Khan, Managing Director of Arab Innovative International Association Company, in recognition of his organization’s support.
Additional mementoes were presented to Mr. ShafatFarouqui, Category Marketing Manager at Almarai, and Mr. Ahmadullah Abdul Hadi, Managing Director of Giordano, which was received by Mr. Abdul Saleem, Area Sales Manager, Riyadh.
During the event, President Mukhtarullah Jagirdarinducted new members into the executive committee, including Mr. Syed Rehan Syed Bare, Mr., Mr. Syed Zubair, Mr. Moizuddin, Mr. Shakir Allatte. And Mohammed Shoheb Chowdhary.
A Women’s Wing was also launched, with Mrs. Mukhtarullah Jagirdar appointed as the Lady Coordinator. The team includes Mrs. TameemulHassan, Mrs. Mohammed Hisamuddin, Mrs. Mohammed Azharuddin, Mrs. Dr. Khaja Moinuddin, Mrs. Syed Rehan Barey, and Mrs. Syed Rizwan Nasir.
Demonstrating immediate engagement, the team organized sports activities, a quiz, and a drawing competition for children. Families of the executive committee members also pledged their support toward the development and growth of this initiative.
An engaging Islamic quiz was conducted by Mr. Mohammed Adil, with enthusiastic participation from attendees. Engr. Abdullah Moizuddin emerged as the winner of the contest.
The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Master Sulaiman Rizwan, followed by a welcome address delivered by Chief Coordinator Dr. Khaja Moinuddin, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, sponsors, and all attendees.
Children’s games were organized by Dr. Khaja Moinuddin, Rizwan Syed Bare, and Mr. Tameem Ul Hassan, adding vibrancy and joy to the event. Gifts were presented to all winners and participants in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation.
The PR Coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Hisamuddin, formally welcomed and received all guests, sponsors, and dignitaries, ensuring a gracious reception for everyone present.
The event was skillfully hosted by Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, an accomplished speaker and active Toastmaster of GWS, who enriched the program with Urdu poetry, earning appreciation from the audience.
The vote of thanks was delivered by treasurer, Mr. Abu Arif Shazli, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, sponsors, attendees and all contributors for their support in making the event a success.
The program concluded with a gala dinner, ending the event on a warm and memorable note and reinforcing the commitment to help those in need and work together for the community.
