Hyderabad, July 21, 2025 – The Birla Auditorium in Hyderabad was aglow with the soulful melodies of Ghazal maestro Shri Mohammad Vakil on July 20, 2025, during the Grand Ghazal Evening, organized by the Deccan Cultural Organisation. The event, a celebration of the timeless art of Ghazal, captivated the audience with its spiritually uplifting and musically enriching experience.
The evening was gracefully anchored by Khairuddin Baig Jaani, a renowned Hyderabadi comedian, whose lively and humorous touch added a unique charm to the program. The event was graced by Chief Guest Iftekhar Shareef, a distinguished community leader, social activist, philanthropist, businessman from Chicago, USA, and the first Overseas Dual Citizen of India. His presence added a global dimension to the cultural gathering, reflecting the universal appeal of Ghazal music.
The event was further elevated by an esteemed lineup of Guests of Honor, including renowned Tollywood actor Suman Talwar, Abid Moinuddin (Managing Director of Maqdoom Brothers), prominent businessman Waseem Ali, industrialist Yahyakhan Ghouse, and Mohd Amer Khan Malik (Managing Director of Ahmed Realtor and Secretary of Ahmed Group of Institutions, a noted educationalist). Also in attendance were Syed Zia ur Rahman (Managing Director of ZITCO Group and Editor of YaHind.Com), Senior Journalist K. N. Wasif, Mohammed Muzaffer Ahmed (Finance Manager at Al-Zameel Co.), and community leaders Rasheed Osmani and Sayeed Haroon.
