Riyadh: Riyadh EduExpo 2025, organized by Target Global Academy, concluded on a high note, drawing remarkable participation from students, parents, and educators. The two-day event, hosted at Al Yasmin International School, Riyadh, witnessed the presence of over a thousand attendees, making it a landmark gathering in the educational landscape of the region. The event was organized in collaboration with KMCC Riyadh Kozhikode District Committee.
The Expo was inaugurated by Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awardee Dr. Sayeed Anwar Khursheed. The ceremony was graced by Colonel Sarabjeet Singh, Defense Attaché of the Indian Embassy, and Y. Sabir, Community Welfare Counselor, as the Guests of Honor. Principals Meera Rahman (International Indian School Riyadh) and Subi Shahira (Al Yasmin International School) also extended their greetings on the occasion.
The first session of the Expo featured an inspiring talk by Dr. Abdussalam, former ISRO Scientist and CEO of Markaz Knowledge City, on the topic “Raising Green Innovators in the Human-Machine Era.” Cybersecurity expert and motivational speaker Dr. Ananth Prabhu G captivated students with his session on “Think Smart, Stay Safe and Mastering Life and Learning in the Digital Age.” Career expert and SABIC Staff Scientist Abdul Nissar guided students on “Career Pathways after Grade 12.”
A panel discussion with industry specialists added further depth to the event. Moderated by Sheikh Saleem, Executive Director of Tech Proxima, the panel included Mohammed Ahmed (Director, Oracle Investment Advisory), cybersecurity professional Ameer Khan, Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, psychologist Sushama Shan, Abdul Nissar (SABIC Staff Scientist), and entrepreneur Sadiq K Abubacker. They shared valuable insights into career opportunities across diverse sectors. A piano performance by Master Kashif enthralled the audience during the intermissions.
The second day of the EduExpo focused on subject-specific sessions for students and parents. Highlights included discussions on higher study opportunities in Saudi Arabia by Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed (Associate Professor, King Saud University), the DASA scheme and NIT admissions by Muneer M.C., General Manager of Target Global Academy, and Career Opportunities in Geographic Information Systems by Dr. Abdul Salam. Other sessions included The Role of Leadership and Communication in Career Growth by DTM Samar Kamal, Cybersecurity Careers by Ameer Khan, AI Tools for Teachers by Dr. Abdul Matheen, and The Pathway to Becoming a Scientist by P.K. Musthafa.
In addition to the knowledge-sharing sessions, the Expo featured stalls from various educational institutions, allowing students to directly interact and explore opportunities. A special ceremony was also held to honor long-serving teachers from Indian schools in Riyadh and to felicitate last year’s Grade 10 and 12 toppers from CBSE board examinations.
The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks from Muhammed Aslam, Marketing Manager of Target Global Academy, while Muneer M.C., General Manager, delivered the welcome address.
Riyadh EduExpo 2025 successfully bridged the gap between students, educators, and industry experts, empowering young learners to make informed choices about their academic and career paths.
