A delegation of United Federation of Private Colleges and Joint Action Committee led by Mr. Fazlur Rahman khurram , Convenor, Joint Action Committee, met the Honorable Home Minister Janab Mahmood Ali Sahab and submitted a representation requesting for grant of exemption from submitting NoC for fire for two years. The Minister has assured of help in this regard to managements of the private colleges. The students of the so called mixed occupancy colleges are struggling to apply for scholarship leading to financial difficulties to them, as their name is not featuring in the college due to not providing of the login to college.
The delegation also represented the cause of extending the affiliation period of Junior Colleges from one year to ten years, waiving off of property tax on educational institutions, providing ease in giving minority status to schools and colleges, etc.
The delegation included Mr. Mohammad Osman and Mr. Mohammad Mohsin (OSM Junior College), Mr. Ahmed Hussain (Gyan Junior College), Dr. Luqman Hussaini (Gyanam Junior College), Mr. Ijlal Ahmed (Hayath Junior Colleges), Mr. Firdous (Meridian Junior College), and Mr. Sohail (Genious Junior College).
