“Phir chidi raat baat phoolon ki” Vasundhara Raturi mesmerized Riyadh audience

Riyadh – SA Re Ga Ma Pa li’l Champs fame Vasundhara Raturi mesmerized the audience with her ghazals, duets and songs at “Shaam-e-Ghazal” organized by All India United Society (AIUS) at the Indian Embassy auditorium in Riyadh.

The spellbound audience glued to their seats till past mid night as Vasundhara and other singers regaled popular numbers, ghazals and songs, one after the other. Upon request of audience, she presented many popular ghazals like ye Daulat bhi le lo ye shohrat bhi le lo, ranjish hi sahi, chitthi aayee hai, and many others.

The audience were amused when Vasundhara Raturi partnered with Syed Sajid Jaleel and presented famous duets like phir chidi raat baat phoolon ki, jhil mil sitaron ka aangan hoga, tumko dekha to ye khayal aaya, and us mod se shuru karen phir ye zindagi.

A huge surprise for Riyadh audience was a young Saudi female singer Reem Mohammed Hassan who travelled all the way from Abha, entertained the audience with her favorite Bollywood songs. When she sang Ye ladka haai Allah kaisa hai deewana and Chitya kalaayan we, the audience were on their toes. Chief Guest Charge De Affairs, N Ram Prasad said that when the daughter of Indian Embassy Vasundhara is leaving the Kingdom, we have got another daughter in Reem. He called Reem as another nightingale for the Indian community.

Omer Baig and Syed Sajid Jaleel dedicated the song Ehsan mere dil pe tumhara hai dosto to Eng. Mohammed Abdul Nayeem, Chairman, Masah Specialized Construction Co. Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin, Mohammed Kaleem, Afsar Khan and IISR teacher Mrs. Gayathri also performed on this occasion. Santosh Babu and Feroz Khan supported with Piano and Tabla respectively.

Chief Guest Charge De Affairs, N Ram Prasad appreciated AIUS for their services and for organizing this memorable event. On this Occasion he urged the Indian community in Saudi Arabia to register for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held from 8 to 10 Jan in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

President AIUS Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali highlighted the social, cultural and community activities of his organization spread over two decades. The organization which started as Hyderabad United Society later expanded as Andhra Pradesh United Society and then All India United Society. During this journey, in addition to community services many events were organized. Educational seminars, cultural events, health camps, blood donation camps were few among them.

Chairman, Masah Specialized Construction Co., Eng. Mohammed Abdul Nayeem and CEO, Noha Alwosta for IT, Saajan Lathif were the guests of honor.

The father of singer Vasundhara Rauri, Anil Raturi is moving to Oslo, Japan after completing three years term in Riyadh. Many community leaders and heads of different organizations felicitated him with shawls and bouquets.

Nayeem Abdul Qayyum who eloquently anchored the event as MC also made a presentation on the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, scheduled to be held from 8 to 10 Jan 2023 in India.
