Riyadh – Member of Parliament, Amorha Lok Sabha constituency, Kunwar Danish Ali said that the Indian electors are very smart. They have taught lessons to political masters in the past and they will also teach them befitting lesson in future also.
He advised the oppressed sections of the society not to lose hope. “It is like a roller coaster journey with many ups and downs. It is just a matter of time. Have faith in the constitution as it will safeguard the interest of all sections of the society” he said.
He was addressing the felicitation ceremony organized by Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association (JMIAA), Riyadh chapter to honor his remarkable services on the ground and in the parliament.
Jamia Alumnus and Court Member, Kunwar Danish Ali said that Jamia was an important center of great efforts by our leaders during freedom struggle. Its seed was planted in those days, and it will always follow the legacy of ancestors to raise voice against oppression. Jamia has groomed many luminaries in different fields who earned many laurels in their respective fields.
Despite all efforts to defame or malign it, Jamia remained an important center of educational excellence so much so that the government itself was compelled to honor it as the best and top central university of the country.
Thanking the JMIAA for organizing an event in his honor, Kunwar appreciate the Indian expatriates in Saudi Arabia for their contributions to the homeland. Large chunk of their hard-earned money is remitted to India and this foreign exchange plays vital role in strengthening our economy. These remittances also support the Indian currency in the international markets.
In his welcome address, president Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association, Riyadh Chapter, Aneesur Rahman said it is an honor for the association to felicitate a great alumnus of Jamia. He appreciated the services and contributions of Knuwar Danish Ali.
JAMIAA presented a plaque of appreciation to Kunwar while different organizations felicitated him by presenting floral bouquets.
Qari Abdur Rahman Oomeri recited verses of the holy Quran and later presented poetic couplets in appreciation of the visiting guest.
General Secretary Poorvanchal Association Dr. Inamul Haq anchored the event eloquently while General Secretary JMIAA Riyadh Chapter Ather Azmi delivered vote of thanks. Large number of Jamia alumnus and representatives of several social, cultural and educational organizations were present.
