Riyadh – A heavy trailer on its way to Dubai met with an accident in Al Kharj, on the outskirts of Riyadh and burnt to ashes. Seriously injured Indian driver 66-year-old Afsar Khan miraculously survived but later on died of cardiac arrest.
Prominent social worker Shihab Kottukad said Khan, who came to Riyadh from UAE with truck load on 8th July was returning with another load. His truck’s tire touched the asphalt cement divider and burnt. Due to the severe heat the entire truck was engulfed in fire. Khan’s mobile, ID, UAE driving license, passport etc. were all burnt to ashes.

After being discharged, he came to Riyadh and after few days got some health problems and again got admitted to Al Eman hospital. Shihab got him discharged from hospital on his responsibility and shifted him to Dimora hotel in Batha. As Khan was staying in the hotel, social workers made arrangements for his travel back to Dubai.
