ECGS celebrates 20th anniversary of collaboration with IGNOU

Jeddah – Prominent educational consultancy in Saudi Arabia, Education Consulting and Guidance Centre (ECGS) celebrated 20th anniversary of their collaboration with Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). In presence of community leaders several alumni shared their educational journey and learning experience.

Chief Guest, Indian Consul, Consular at the Consulate General of India in Jeddah Mr. Deepak Yadav said twenty glorious years of successful and prosperous partnership between ECGS and IGNOU is a great milestone, and it serves as an acknowledgment for the achievements, successes and efforts put forth by everyone involved in this joint venture.

Consul Hajj Mr. Ahmad Hashim said the passion to create a learning environment by ECGS to encourage students to reach their fullest potential is highly commendable.

Mr. Riaz Mulla ECGS General Manager welcomed the guests and he said that ECGS takes pride in accelerating and disseminating learning and knowledge by diverse means in this journey. He reiterated that ECGS and IGNOU continuously strived to build a knowledge society through inclusive distance learning education.

In order to extend gratitude to all who have contributed to this inspiring journey over the past two decades, an audio video presentation was prepared.

The alumni of IGNIU Ozma Siddiqui, Faridul Alam, Hassan Cherrupa, Huma Jabeen and Sabitha Raheem shared their experiences. Certificates of appreciation were presented to them.

Managing Editor, Arab News daily, Mr. Siraj Wahab extolled the efforts of Ateico and ECGS mentor Riaz Mulla for stepping in boldly to fill a necessary vacuum two decades ago. During that period girls who could not go overseas for want of money, or those who did not have an option to study further due to family issues were given a lifeline by this platform. It allowed many to complete their graduation with ease.

Executive Editor, Saudi Gazette, Mr. L. Ramnarayan Iyer lauded Mulla and his team for providing space to excel with the distance learning platform. He, however, said that while the team has built an enviable success story, they need to look ahead. “They should use technology as the strength to offer new vistas. For modern education is changing and challenging” he added.

Mr. M. Siraj, Jeddah Tamil Sangam appreciated ECGS for continuously striving to build a knowledge society and for making valuable contribution towards the Digital Revolution in Education. ECGS supports the working class to polish their skills to next level to excel in their official work.

ECGS Chairman Mr. Mohammad Al Nefai thanked the community for supporting the activities of ECGS.

Former President of IISJ Alumni association Asim Zeeshan was the master of ceremonies who enthralled the audience with his energetic anchoring while Mehad Ahmad proposed Vote of thanks.
